In the Serpentine Valley, your decisions will determine your success, aquiring a bit of knowledge will go a long way.
Card Design:
Each snake card has the common / English name on the top, with the scientific / Latin name below; this makes it clear to recognise which species it is. An illustration of the snake is found on the centre of the card and below you will discover the stats and abilities of the snake. In the example shown below, the Smooth Green Snake, has the attack ‘Nip – 1 damage point’. One ability of the snake is also indicated, in its case, camoflauge. Since the Smooth Green Snake spends much of its life in the trees, it has evolved to be slender, green, and resembling a vine. Not all snakes will have abilities, but the species with special adaptation do. The ‘(once)’ shown next to the ability indicates that the ability can only be used once during one game (to make the game more fair and functional). Finally, on the bottom of the card, the class and HP (Health points) is displayed. The class gives an idea of how strong the snake is relative to all other species. The five main classes are: Weak, Mediocre, Strong, Elite and Supreme. The higher the attack damage or HP of the snake, the higher the class. HP on the other hand tells you how much health the snake has – this depends on its length and weight.
Game Rules:
The Serpentine Valley cards are designed simultaneously as cards which are intended to be collected, played with or even used for educational purposes.
